The conference fee covers five day hotel accommodation with full board, conference halls lending, conference materials, proceedings, coffee breaks and social programme. The full conference fee based on the shared double bed room fare amounts to €450,-, for students €350,-.
Suites imply the payment of extra costs.
The conference fee for accompanying persons is €300,- per person. This includes five day hotel accommodation with full board as well as a social programme.
The social programme will include the Welcome Party on Monday evening, August 28, a trip on Wednesday afternoon, August 30, and a banquet on Thursday, August 31.
The High Tatras, the tallest peak being Gerlach, spiking to a summit at 2655 meters above sea level (m a.s.l.), with its 24 peaks higher than 2,500 m a.s.l. provide the only mountains with an Alpine character in the whole of the 1,200 km length of the Carpathian Mountain range. Although not as high or domineering as the Alps, this beautiful mountainous region offers a similar broad range of activities such as tourism, hiking, climbing, and skiing.
The site of the conference is the Hotel ``Rysy***'' (left photo), additional hotel for accomodation is Hotel ``Meander***'' (right photo), both in (Tatranska) Strba located close (less than 5 km) to the world-known mountain-ski and tourist resort, the Strbske Pleso (1355 m a.s.l.), which is easily accessible by cable-car with the lower station situated near the hotels. Another beautiful resort within easy range, is Skalnate Pleso (1751 m a.s.l.) offering a glamorous trip from the col Lomnicke Sedlo (2200 m a.s.l.) down to Tatranska Lomnica (950 m a.s.l.).
